  2. USING THE RED ALERT MAPS
  3.  
  4. COPYING THE MAPS TO YOUR GAME DIRECTORY
  5.  
  6. To use the RED ALERT MAPS you must first
  7. unzip and copy the MAPS to your RED ALERT
  8. game directory.
  9.  
  10. To do this Click on the "RED ALERT EXTRA MAPS"
  11. button and load the file browser.
  12.  
  13. When the file browser has loaded click on "OK"
  14. to enter the area selection menu.
  15.  
  16. The area selection menu will provide you with
  17. the following areas to choose from
  18.  
  19.    - ALL RED ALERT MAPS
  20.    - RED ALERT UTILITIES
  21.    - RED ALERT FAQS
  22.    - MAPS 0-9
  23.    - MAPS A
  24.    - MAPS B
  25.    - MAPS C
  26.    - MAPS D
  27.    - MAPS E
  28.    - MAPS F
  29.    - MAPS G
  30.    - MAPS H
  31.    - MAPS I
  32.    - MAPS J
  33.    - MAPS K
  34.    - MAPS L
  35.    - MAPS M
  36.    - MAPS N
  37.    - MAPS O
  38.    - MAPS P
  39.    - MAPS Q
  40.    - MAPS R
  41.    - MAPS S
  42.    - MAPS T
  43.    - MAPS U
  44.    - MAPS V
  45.    - MAPS W
  46.    - MAPS X
  47.    - MAPS Y
  48.    - MAPS Z

  50. If you CLICK on any of the MAPS 0-Z you
  51. will be presented with a detailed description
  52. of each MAP.

  54. To unzip and copy the MAPS to your
  55. RED ALERT game directory, just click on one
  56. of the maps you have selected to use.
  57.  
  58. Next enter your RED ALERT game directory as the
  59. destination directory or path.
  60. (The default is c:\westwood\redalert)
  61. Click on unzip and the MAPS will be
  62. copied to your game directory.

  64. If you would like to copy all the MAPS
  65. from the MAPS A area to your RED ALERT
  66. game directory, Click on ALL MAPS from
  67. the AREA SELECTION menu.
  68. Click on the MAPS-A.ZIP file and use the
  69. same method as described above to unzip and
  70. copy all the MAPS from the MAP A are to
  71. your RED ALERT game directory.

  73. PLEASE NOTE : It is suggested that you do not
  74. copy more than 150 maps to your RED ALERT
  75. game directory at one time.

  78. USING THE MAPS WITH RED ALERT
  79.  
  80. To load the MAPS first you must start
  81. RED ALERT, then click on multiplayer game,
  82. then click on skirmish.
  83. All the new MAPS will be displayed under
  84. the SCENARIO heading. Click on a scenario
  85. to highlight it, then click ok to
  86. load the MAP.
