USING THE RED ALERT MAPS
COPYING THE MAPS TO YOUR GAME DIRECTORY
To use the RED ALERT MAPS you must first
unzip and copy the MAPS to your RED ALERT
game directory.
To do this Click on the "RED ALERT EXTRA MAPS"
button and load the file browser.
When the file browser has loaded click on "OK"
to enter the area selection menu.
The area selection menu will provide you with
the following areas to choose from
- ALL RED ALERT MAPS
- RED ALERT UTILITIES
- RED ALERT FAQS
- MAPS 0-9
- MAPS A
- MAPS B
- MAPS C
- MAPS D
- MAPS E
- MAPS F
- MAPS G
- MAPS H
- MAPS I
- MAPS J
- MAPS K
- MAPS L
- MAPS M
- MAPS N
- MAPS O
- MAPS P
- MAPS Q
- MAPS R
- MAPS S
- MAPS T
- MAPS U
- MAPS V
- MAPS W
- MAPS X
- MAPS Y
- MAPS Z
If you CLICK on any of the MAPS 0-Z you
will be presented with a detailed description
of each MAP.
To unzip and copy the MAPS to your
RED ALERT game directory, just click on one
of the maps you have selected to use.
Next enter your RED ALERT game directory as the
destination directory or path.
(The default is c:\westwood\redalert)
Click on unzip and the MAPS will be
copied to your game directory.
If you would like to copy all the MAPS
from the MAPS A area to your RED ALERT
game directory, Click on ALL MAPS from
the AREA SELECTION menu.
Click on the MAPS-A.ZIP file and use the
same method as described above to unzip and
copy all the MAPS from the MAP A are to
your RED ALERT game directory.
PLEASE NOTE : It is suggested that you do not
copy more than 150 maps to your RED ALERT
game directory at one time.
USING THE MAPS WITH RED ALERT
To load the MAPS first you must start
RED ALERT, then click on multiplayer game,
then click on skirmish.
All the new MAPS will be displayed under
the SCENARIO heading. Click on a scenario
to highlight it, then click ok to
load the MAP.
